Abstract. The Inertial Navigation System (INS) can be used indoor where GPS (Global Positioning System) signals are unavailable and it also can be used out-door. The INS can be applied in many applications such as finding and rescuing fire fighters, location-aware computing, and personal navigation assistance. The INS uses low-costs IMUs attached in a shoe to track a person position. The ex-periment has shown the total drift was 0.06 percent of the distance traveled.

Abstract. The rising demands and increasing number of RFID applications for monitoring and tracking purposes invoke the need of their system performance improvement. Many languages for stream processing lack support for large slid-ing windows and lack constructs to address non-occurrences of events [2]. SASE can execute complex event queries over real time stream of RFID read-ing. With SASE, it is possible to handle 40,000 events per second for a highly complex query and support large sliding windows. Moreover, SASE is fast to implement. And, it can query filter and correlate events to match given patterns. It transforms the matched events to meaningful events for further uses. This pa-per gives an introduction to SASE, presents the experimental results based on [2], and describes the limitations of SASE.

Elastic load balancing is believed to be the key idea of controlling re-sources and costs in elastic could platforms [1]. The database system can be scaled up when the load is high, and be scaled down during low load to save costs. The paper presents Zephyr, the technique that can minimize service inter-ruption and with no downtime during the database migration.
